GET INVOLVED AND HELP US OFFER AN EVEN BETTER SERVICE
We involve the people receiving support in the assessment and design of their service; preparation of their personal plan, ongoing review of how the service is being delivered and if it's meeting the needs of the people receiving support.
As well as ensuring people receiving support are regularly informed about the organisation, either in person, by telephone, letter or newsletter, we also encourage people to participate in other ways, for example:
We are always open to new ways to involve the people we support. If you have any suggestions on how we can do this or how you can participate in our service, please contact us ...we’d love to hear from you.

As well as ensuring people receiving support are regularly informed about the organisation, either in person, by telephone, letter or newsletter, we also encourage people to participate in other ways, for example:
- Consultation – we send out an annual survey and organise facilitated events to gather information and opinions. We also have a comments, suggestions and complaints procedure.
- Training – carers and people requiring support may be invited to training events to explain to staff about their lives and the difference support can make. Also, people may be invited to events if this will benefit them eg., a carer of someone with dementia attending a training day on dementia.
- Recruitment – carers have assisted with the recruitment process including interviewing potential staff.
- Volunteering – The Board of Directors is made up of volunteers. If you are interested in giving your time to this role, we have an information pack we can send you.
- Befriending - Our Befriending Volunteers aim to relieve social isolation and help people live independently at home whilst building links with their local community.
- Work for Us – we employ some of the carers we support to deliver a service to other families. Please look at our recruitment section if you feel you could take on employment.
We are always open to new ways to involve the people we support. If you have any suggestions on how we can do this or how you can participate in our service, please contact us ...we’d love to hear from you.
