​Private Purchase – you may purchase support from us. This can be respite or it can be other types of support you need. Some examples are listed below.

There is no waiting list for Private Purchase and Self Directed Supported Services.
The type of help we can give could include​:
  • Personal care
  • Mobility and person handling activities
  • Medication
  • Meal and food preparation
  • Procedures such as peg feeding and emptying catheter bags
  • Supporting positive behaviour strategies
  • Memory loss and confusion
  • Palliative care
  • Light household tasks
  • Shopping
  • Support service user on social outings
  • Relieving loneliness and isolation
Or we can support you to achieve other outcomes you want.

When you contact us we will ask you a little about yourself. We will arrange a suitable time to visit you at home to assess your needs. 

If Crossroads is able to offer help, you will be asked to suggest suitable days and times to have a service. Every effort will be made to meet your request, if resources are available. 

Following discussion of the care needs of the Service User, a Support Worker will be chosen to help you and you will meet her/him before the service starts. 
​The service will be reviewed at agreed intervals. However, if you have any concerns about the staff or the service, you are encouraged to contact the Manager or Coordinator. The organisation also operates a Comments and Complaints procedure. The Board of Management reserve the right, in some circumstances, to discontinue the service.
