In the days before the recent charity curry night, Jan Mackie, a Support Worker with Crossroads, came into the office carrying a huge hamper of food, toiletries and a bottle of wine. This hamper had been made up by Jan's parents and their neighbours; although they felt unable to attend the curry night, they admired the support that Crossroads Fife Central provided people in the community and wanted to help. Crossroads is exceptionally grateful to Jan Mackie's, parents and their neighbours, as well of course to Jan, who is a highly regarded member of the staff team. We are hugely touched by their generosity. This made for an extra special prize, raising £100 in ticket sales on the evening.
The hamper was accepted by Ann Buckley, a carer, on behalf of her mum who had the winning ticket. Ann is also a volunteer member of our Board of Directors, wanting to give back to the organisation she feels supported her family so well.
