From Friday 25th May, 2018, the law on protecting people’s data is changing to reflect the changes in technology that have occurred over the last two decades. This law is called the General Data Protection Regulations (G.D.P.R.).
This means that we have to gain your consent to hold information about you, such as your name, address, contact details etc. and we also need to be able to prove that we have gained this consent. Crossroads Fife Central has always sought your consent before holding details about you, but we will in future, be looking for written or email consent from point of referral.
The G.D.P.R. also requires us to keep you informed of what information we hold about you and what we do with this information, such as using it to build a personal plan around your outcomes and support needs which will assist you to best achieve your aims.
