Our Support Workers have been carefully selected and trained to a high standard to provide quality care and dependable support. Each staff member is a PVG Scheme Member (Protection of Vulnerable Groups), adheres to SSSC Codes of Practice and the National Care standards laid down by the Care Inspectorate.
Crossroads Fife Central invests heavily in staff training which includes a four week induction and shadowing period, First Aid, Person Handling and Food Hygiene training. Other training routinely provided includes Child Protection, and condition specific training when required, such as Epilepsy, Paediatric Epilepsy, Diabetes, Parkinson's Disease, Palliative Care, Autism and ADHD, or on any other condition that is being experienced by someone supported by Crossroads Fife Central.
Much of this training, including First Aid is updated yearly.
